Mick Jagger and Peter Tosh - Walk & Don’t Look Back

Wednesday, September 1st, 2010

I’ve been groovin on this video the last few days. I can’t help but think that Mick may have been under the influence of drugs during the filming.

And, for no real reason, here’s Cutty.

Try to get in some MMA goodness tomorrow.

Stay lucky,
Ken

Let’s try this again…

Everything looks to be in the same order I left it – so I got that going for me.

Been awhile…  Let’s see if we can start this thing up again…

Going to start slowly and share some amazing highlights I’ve seen over at CagePotato courtesy of KahL1One.  I’m not very familiar with Kah’s work – but I hope to be seeing a lot more of it.

GSP Highlight:

Wanderlei Silva Highlight:

Keep checking back as we get into the swing of things over here.

Upcoming MMA Schedule… Wow.

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

I was just looking over the line-up for recent events and, while I knew it was good, I didn’t expect to find it quite like this:

  • December 3: WEC 37: Torres vs. Tapia
  • December 10: UFC Fight for the Troops
  • December 13: TUF 8 Finale
  • December 27: UFC 92: The Ultimate 2008
  • January 17: UFC 93: Franklin vs. Henderson
  • January 24: Affliction: Fedor vs. Arlovski
  • January 25: WEC 38
  • January 31: UFC 94: St. Pierre vs. Penn II

Sweet merciful crap! Buckle your seatbelts because these next two months are going to be epic.

There are countless good fights on these cards, but here are the five that I’m looking forward to most:

1. GSP vs. Penn @ UFC 94: No explanation needed here. This is one of the biggest fights in MMA history and will be treated as such with a massive media campaign… My only hope is that Georges leaves some of B.J. intact so Kenny can get his title shot.

2. Griffin vs. Evans @ UFC 92: I’m a total mark for TUF – especially the first 2 seasons – so this fight is very high on my radar. Four years ago, who would have thought this would headline the biggest card of the year?

3. Fedor vs. Arlovski @ Affliction Day of Reckoning: I don’t hold out much hope for Andrei in this one, but it will be interesting to see Fedor put away another top heavyweight and further cement his legacy.

4. Franklin vs. Henderson @ UFC 93: A few years ago this was THE fight people wanted to see most. It has lost a little luster thanks to Anderson Silva destroying both men, but it will still be a big-name war in the motherland.

5. Machida vs. T. Silva @ UFC 94: I am a big fan of both men so this is an important one for me. I think Machida will pick up the win, but Thiago is a gamer that will not stop until stopped so it should make for a good one.

Worst Records in MMA

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

I know, I know - this is an MMA blog so don’t post stuff about boxing - but I couldn’t resist with this clip. I found it on CNN.com and it talks about a British boxer with a 31-256-12 record. Where is the man’s title shot?

The guy reminds me of TUF3’s Ross Pointon. Just a tough as nails dude who doesn’t have much talent, but is willing to fight anyone at anytime. There is something you have to respect about that.

In honor of this boxer, I took a look at some of the worst fighter records in MMA and found these ones thanks to the Sherdog fight finder:

Akira Omura - 0-10
Kenneth Allen - 1-27
Mike Suttles - 1-26
John Pankey - 1-15
Dan Wheatley - 2-25

My hat’s off to them for stepping in there - logical thinking be damned.
