Solid Breakdowns but I will have to differ on a few of the outcomes:

1. Stephens over Guillard- Guillard always seems to find a way to lose a fight he's winning & Stephens has got a good chin, so I don't think he'll be able to put Jeremy away quickly enough before he self-destructs.

2. Dunham over Sherk- I think this may be one of those fights that makes Sherk look his age a la Cain vs. Nog

3. Mir over Cro Cop- From the Hardonk & Congo fights I'll see that Frank likes to take it to the ground if he can (He couldn't out-wrestle shane or Lesnar). Once this hits the ground its pretty much academic from there.

I have seen a few of Nam Phan's fights and he's an exciting fighter. Great Boxing skills, Good jiu-jitz. Watch his fight with Omigawa and you'll see that although he lost, he displayed a granite chin and a ton of heart. He's been in there with the big boys (JZ, Josh Thomson, Evangelista) and may be primed to take the next step. Who knows...

First off, classic Joe Rogan debate. Must be from 3 yrs ago b.c of the references to bodog & IFL:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtKx41UdCj0&feature=player_embedded

As for the fights actually agree with all the fights except one. I say tree stump has been working on his boxing & suprises Marquardt with a right hook that puts Nate to sleep. I'll agree that cole wins but will go into further detail. Ross gets swept while inside Cole's guard and Cole chokes him out with a mounted triangle.

I know we are all tired of the post-fight BJ legacy chatter but I do need to chime in since this is my boy.

I was dissappointed that BJ didn't learn from the first fight and just take this to the ground from the start or just do something different than in the first fight. Having said that, people have begun to question how good BJ really is. Fair enough...

His record is now 15-7, which a normal person might mistake as an average UFC fighter's record. But what BJ's record suffers from is his own strive to be the best there ever was. Who can fault somebody for saying that? Every kid dreams of being the best there ever was. To try and prove that he was the best he was constantly fighting quality opponents that were usually much larger in size to him. Best example, his fight against top-ranked Lyoto Machida at Light heavyweight where he lost in a CLOSE decision.

Now in the past, even Penn himself said he lacked the work ethic necessary to be great. But since his run at the Lightweight title, he has worked much harder training for fights. In the end, his dream but it crumbled around him. But that's life & you can't blame him for trying to be the best.

Yes, Zenyatta's owners ARE open to running her on dirt, as evidenced by the fact that she's won two GI races on dirt. When will this dirt nonsense stop? She's based in California, and she runs on what's offered. She's not ducking any surface. It would be great if people would stop making this non-issue into something legitimate. It's actually Jess Jackson who has come out and said that he won't run his horse on "plastic," even though Rachel Alexandra has won on the surface. But everyone knows that it's really Curlin's defeat at Santa Anita that has made Jess hate synthetics. So why not make this accurate -- Jess Jackson is afraid of synthetic surfaces and the Mosses have no problem with dirt.
